17 Years Together, Sandara Park Leaves YG Entertainment

Penyanti from South Korea, Sandara Park came with quite shocking news related to her career. Sandara, who has been under YG Entertainment for 17 years, decided to leave. YG also gave a statement about Sandara who officially left his agency.

“This is an announcement that YG Entertainment’s exclusive contract with Sandara Park has ended,” yg explained quoting from Soompi, Friday (5/14/2021).

Not only that, YG also thanked Sandara for her trust in YG Entertainment in achieving her career.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Sandara Park who have joined YG with special trust and affection. YG will continue to support sandara’s obstacles, and we will always help her until she completes preparations for her new beginnings,” YG said.

As is known, Sandara joined YG Entertainment agency in 2004. It was not only in 2009 that he debuted with the band 2NE1.

YG also explained that the artist has given the best in his performance, ranging from acting to MC.

“He has shown impressive performances not only in music but also in all fields. Like acting, fashion, beauty, and MC,” she said.

“We are asking for a lot of support from fans so that his positive energy can shine further,” he continued.

“We once again sincerely thank the fans who have loved Sandara Park as a YG artist to date,” YG Entertainment wrote.

Sandara Park Becomes the Last 2NE1 Member To Leave YG

Previously 3 members of 2NE1 had left YG, in 2016 namely Park Bom, CL and Minzy, while CL terminated its contract from YG in 2019. The departure of the member who is familiarly called Dara, as well as breaking the hopes of fans who hope the four vocalists 2NE1 reunited.

2NE1 itself is a famous R&B girl group in late 2009 to 2015. In 2016, the KPop group decided to disband followed by the release of their last single titled ‘Goodbye’ in 2017.
