Choi Jin Hyuk’s Agency Apology
On October 8, G-Tree Creative, Choi Jin Hyuk’s agency, released an official apology. Citing allkpop.com, in its official statement the agency sincerely apologized for the concerns raised amid the current conditions.
Earlier on October 6, Jin Hyuk and a friend were caught violating social distancing rules. But Jin Hyuk didn’t realize that the bar only operated until 10 p.m. Apparently the bar was running a business illegally. Choi Jin Hyuk felt that it wouldn’t be a problem before 10 p.m.
Because of the pandemic situation, he was careful to show others that he was drinking outside, even before 10 p.m. So, while looking for a place where he could chat, he went to the place recommended by a colleague.
But because it was a bar that was not allowed to operate until late at night due to social distancing rules, at 8:20 p.m. local time, Choi Jin Hyuk was charged with social distance violations.
Back From My Little Old Boy
Because of the case, Jin Hyuk’s agency stopped all of the artist’s activities for self-introspection. G-Tree Creative, also said it would reflect and remember this incident so as not to happen again.
As part of his hiatus, Jin Hyuk will be stepping down from his current variety show ‘My Little Old Boy’ of which he is a regular member. The popular SBS program will also edit as many parts of Choi Jin Hyuk as possible, both from snippets and upcoming episodes.
