At the birthplace of her eldest daughter, Ethiopia, she founded the Zahara Children’s Centre which is a facility for people with HIV or tuberculosis. It is used to educate and treat children or adolescents with HIV.

Angelina’s other social-humane action was to campaign against sexual violence in military conflict zones. In May 2012 he launched the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative (PSVI) with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, William Hague. Through his work PSVI he met with foreign policy experts Chloe Dalton and Arminka Helic.

Angelina’s collaboration came to fruition with the formation of Jolie Pitt Dalton Helic, a partnership for women’s rights and international justice. In May 2016 he was appointed visiting Professor at the London School of Economics.
