Demi Lovato recently hit back at the public for her shocking statements on social media. To the world, she claims to be neither a woman nor a man, but a non-binary person.

His statement was expressed via Twitter and immediately responded to the response of the netizens. There are some netizens who criticize, but not a few who claim to be confused by Demi’s statement.

“Today is a day that makes me so happy to share more about my life with all of you,” Demi wrote in her statement on Twitter.

Later, Demi expressed her pride in being able to announce herself as non-binary. In fact, he also asked the public to call him plural (they), i.e. ‘they’, instead of being called by a he/she ( he).

“I am proud to reveal to you that I identify myself as non-binary. Then the next will officially change the call so they (they/them),” he continued.

In addition, Demi also uploaded a video about her announcement regarding this as well as explaining her reasons as non-binary.

“I feel like it’s the best thing about representing the liquidity I feel in my gender expression,” Demi Lovato said.

“I’m doing this for those out there who haven’t been able to share who they really are with their loved ones,” Demi added.

Some time ago, Demi had expressed her desire to have children without having to marry. This means that it can also be by adopting a child.

Non-binary itself is a term that refers to gender identity that cannot be classified as female or male. In fact, non-binary can also be found in bugis people, South Sulawesi who know 5 genders.
