Epik High rocked South Korean music again with a 10th full album titled “Epik High is Here”. The comeback is scheduled for release on Janurai 18, 2020 at 06:00 PM KST. One of the members, Tablo released a full track and revealed the musicians who will collaborate on the project.

1. 10th Full Album

Epik High is a K-Pop group with an alternative Hip Hop genre consisting of Tablo, Minthra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. Their official debut began in 2003 under Woolim Entertainment, then moved to YG Entertainment in 2012.

In 2018, the K-Pop group agreed not to renew its contract with the agency that also houses Black Pink. After the exclusive contract with YG Entertainment ended, the group chaired by Tablo was affiliated with William Morris Endeavour (WME).

For the unwed, WME Entertainment is the home of world celebrities such as Adele, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Drake, Rihanna, Sam Smith, and many more.

A 17-year career in the South Korean music industry, Epik-High won numerous awards. They fall into the ranks of the most influential senior Hip Hop groups.

The album “Epik High is Here” is the 10th full album released by Epik High. They previously released “Map of the Human Soul” in 2003, “High Society” in 2004, “Swan Song” in 2005, “Remmaping the Soul” in 2007, “Pieces, Part one” in 2008, “[e]” in 2009, “99” in 2012, “Shoebox” in 2014, and “We’ve Done Something Wonderful” in 2017.

2. There Will Be “Epic High is Here” Part 1 and Part 2

Almost three years after releasing the full album in 2017, now K-Pop Group is preparing a full 10th album which is planned to be released on January 18, 2021.

Late last year, on December 29, 2020, epic-high members revealed the release of their latest album titled “Epik High is Here” through personal Instragam.

According to the caption, “Epic High is Here” is a double album. The first part will be released mid-January 2021, consists of 10 new song titles including “Lesson Zero”, “Rosario” feat CL and Zico, “Based on True Story” feat Heize, “Accepted Speech” feat B.I, “Leica” ft Kim Sawol, “In Self Defense” feat Woo, Nucksal, Changmo, “True Crime” feat Miso, “Social Distance 16”, “End of the World” feat GSoul, and “Wish You Were”.

“Rosasio” and “Based on True Story” headlined the latest album. As for part two, the release date is still being kept secret. For sure, this comeback is eagerly awaited by the fans.

Because, the main song in every album released Epik High always successfully topped the charts. Both in South Korea and on the international scene such as “Lovedrunk”, “Fun”, and many more.

3. Collaborating with Top South Korean Musicians

Collaborating with top musicians is not the first time for Epik High. However, this time the Hip Hop group collaborated with 10 top musicians on the album “Epik High is Here”.

The first line up of collaborations uncovered Zico and CL. Both musicians performed in the song titled “Rosario”. The music video teaser was released on January 13, 2020 through the official Tik Tok and SNS accounts.

The roughly 40-minute video shows members of Epic High in a musterius, dark, and surrounded by gold frames. Then, it shows Zico sitting in front of a bag of burnt money, next featuring cl with elegant pakian.

Then the second collaboration line up, no less epic namely Heize, Nucksal, Kim Sawol, and Changmo. While the full line up was announced on January 11, 2021, four musicians completed the line-up including G.Soul, Woo, Miso, and B.I.

Previously, Epik High had worked with Beenzino, Verbal Jint, B.I. Mino, and Boby titled “Born Hater”, the title track on the album “Shoebox”. This massive collaborative project was quite a success.

Having lyrics that blatantly insinuate the haters,this song is still popular today. The music video for “Born Hater” has been watched by more than 18 million viewers. Although it was released six years ago, the number of views has increased every day.

The album “Epic High is Here” is predicted to outperform the popularity of previous collaboration projects.
