Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, DJ for ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show,’ passed away at the age of 40.

Stephen 'tWitch' Boss died

Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a dancer who became famous on So You Think You Can Dance and a DJ for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has passed away, according to TMZ.

Boss, who went by the stage moniker tWitch, frequently hosted The Ellen DeGeneres Show when DeGeneres wasn’t there, worked as a producer for the program, and over time, made appearances in a number of dance-related films and TV shows. He allegedly committed suicide. Boss’s wife Allison Holker confirmed his passing to People in a statement. He was 40.

Her statement read, “Stephen brightened up every room he stepped into.” “He placed the highest emphasis on his family, friends, and community, and he believed that the best way to lead was with love and light. He was our family’s rock, the best husband and father, and an example to his followers.

Boss first tried out for So You Think You Can Dance’s third season, which aired in 2007, and despite being well-liked by the judges and other dancers, he didn’t place in the top 20. He placed second in the fourth season of the show’s auditions. The modern dance he performed that season with fellow participant Katee Shean, choreographed by Mia Michaels, was nominated for Outstanding Choreography at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards despite the fact that he was a hip-hop dancer.

Celebrities, dancers, and fans paid tribute to Boss on social media, with many posting videos of him dancing. “Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” Holker concluded her statement to People.
