Snowdrop's Latest Footage Released, 'ACTRESS JISOO IS HERE' Echoes On Twitter

Footage of Korean drama Snowdrop was re-released, the latest teaser featuring footage of BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Jung Hae In’s scenes. The cry ‘ACTRESS JISOO IS HERE’ also enlivened social media. This drama became Jisoo’s acting debut as the lead. Fans are also crowded to support the visual girl group BLACKPINK.

Snowdrop tells the tragic love story between Jisoo and Jung Hae In. Jisoo, who plays eun young ro, is a freshman majoring in English literature at Hooso Women’s University. Jung Hae In, meanwhile, plays im su ho, a graduate student from a mysterious but charismatic university.

One night, Su Ho jumped into You Ro’s dormitory in a bloody state. Young Ro also helps Su Ho by hiding it and treating his injuries. However, they have met on a blind date where Young Ro falls in love at first sight.

Teaser Drama Snowdrop

On Thursday (14/10/2021), JTBC displayed snowdrop footage showing the dormitory atmosphere of Hooso Women’s University. Su Ho appeared to be riding his bike through the light snowfall.

“Sorry. It’s because of me,” Su Ho lirih said.

Then came the scene where Young Ro and Su Ho met each other and joined hands.

At the end of the video, Young Ro says, “I miss you. I wish I could see you once.”

This Korean drama has a place in Seol in 1987, when one of the historic moments in South Korea occurred. That year, students in South Korea staged demonstrations demanding fair elections.

Jisoo and Jung Hae In have been filming Snowdrop since November 2020. But in March 2021, Snowdrop became controversial when Korean netizens launched a mass boycott.

South Korean netizens suspect the drama has a storyline that will defame the country’s democratic movement. JTBC also confirmed Snowdrop did not contain a storyline that contained criticism of the South Korean government.

The script was written by Yoo Hyun Mi and directed by Jo Hyun Tak. Previously, the two had worked together on sky castle. In addition to Jisoo and Jung Hae In, other artists who starred in the drama are Jang Seung Jo and Yoo In Na. According to the schedule, Snowdrop will air in December 2021 on JTBC and can also be seen on Disney+.
