Washington DC, The Capital of the United States is now heavily guarded by security forces ahead of the inauguration of President Joe Biden. Tight security makes the city look like a war zone, crowds are banned, and seats are given distance due to the coronavirus pandemic. Apparently, Joe Biden's swearing-in as the 46th president of the U.S. is different from the inaugurations of previous presidents.
Normally Washington DC is filled with thousands of people ranging from celebrities, socialites, to locals, but now ahead of the big day Biden looks very rarely passing by. Local news outlets reported that security is currently at its tightest after the September 11, 2001 attacks. This is not without reason, because on January 6, there was a riot by a mob of Donald Trump supporters that hampered Joe Biden's victory.

No President Donald Trump
Usually the president who is down and the former president will attend the inauguration of a new president as a symbol of democratic transition of power. This year, former presidents Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and Barack Obama will attend the inauguration. Whereas Jimmy Carter will watch it from home considering he's 96 years old.
However, Joe Biden's inauguration will not be attended by Donald Trump- he plans to leave Washington DC in the morning heading to his private resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. Trump will become the fourth U.S. president not to attend the inauguration of a new president, the last time this event occurred in 1869.
Even so, Vice President Mike Pence remained in attendance. That means there will be no hospitality from the old president to the new president who will inhabit the White House. But that doesn't seem to be a problem for President Joe Biden. Because he was familiar with the White House during his time as Obama's vice president.
