Joe Biden was born Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. on November 20, 1942 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Biden was the eldest child raised in the Town of Scranton, Pennsylvania in an Irish Catholic family. His father was Josep Robinette Biden Sr who worked as a used car salesman and his mother was Catherine Eugenia Jean Finnegan. He was born during World War II.

Joe came from a wealthy family but when he was born, his father suffered a financial setback. Therefore, Joe and his family lived with his maternal grandmother, an oil magnae in Baltimore.
