Sanna Marin has recently been in the limelight of the public. His figure reaped the spotlight after the video of his wild party was spread. Not stopping the scandal, his reputation was again shaken when an indecent photo of himself taken in the bathroom of the PM’s official residence was spread.

Marin also admitted his pleasure in partying. However, she felt that there was nothing wrong with spending her time off with her friends, like most people her age. However, his controversy is not only about the party, but also his appearance and too high an allowance.

In October 2020, Marin conducted an interview with Trendi magazine regarding his career. In the photo, she appears wearing a blazer without a single thread behind it. Controversy arose when a number of critics accused him of being tasteful and smearing his post.

RESIDENCE ALLOWANCE

The official residence of the Finnish PM (Kesaranta) is usually used only as a representation. Most previous PMs did not occupy the house. But Sanna Marin and her family lived there from the very beginning of her time in office.

Controversy arose when Finnish media reported on May 25, 2021 that Marin and his family spent 300 euros per month on meals using public funds. The public fund is part of the tax-free residence allowance for pms in Kesaranta.

As it turned out, the amount spent was 850 euros (RP12.5 million), more than the previous report. Marin and his family spent around 14,363.20 euros (Rp212 million) on breakfast and dinner catering. It runs from January 2020-May 2021.

In fact, previously the allowance was used only at certain times. Like when the Finnish PM and his guests spent the night in Kesaranta.

As a result of the controversy, the public speculated that Marin’s wedding held in Kesaranta also used people’s money. However, the 36-year-old insists that all the costs of her marriage use personal funds.

ABSENT FROM COVID-19 QUARANTINE

In early December 2021, Sanna Marin went to a nightclub in Helsinki. In fact, on the same day he came into contact with the Finnish Foreign Minister who after being tested tested positive for COVID-19.

In the evening, two text messages were sent to the office’s mobile phone with an appeal to self-isolate. However, Marin admitted that he did not read the message because he did not bring his mobile phone. He defended himself by arguing he had been fully vaccinated.

THE VIDEO OF THE PARTY WAS LEAKED

Video footage of Sanna Marin partying spread to the public on Wednesday (17/8/2022). He was seen dancing and singing alongside five others at an event allegedly held in a private house. At one moment, he appeared to kneel with his hands behind his head while dancing and singing.

According to local media reports, one of the guests at the party could be heard shouting ‘far away’. The term means ‘flour gang’ in Finnish which is also slang meaning ‘cocaine’. Marin was eventually accused of taking drugs.

However, he denied by showing a negative drug test on Monday (22/8/2022). He also said what he did was not against the law.

INAPPROPRIATE PHOTOS IN THE ROUGHNESS

Not yet subsided by the scandal of the party, another photo was leaked again. The photo shows two well-known female influencers kissing in Kesaranta’s bathroom. They appeared shirtless by simply covering the section with a piece of paper that read ‘Finland’. The two women were television star Sabina Sarkka and poet Natalia Kallio.

Sanna Marin then apologized to the public on Tuesday (23/8/2022). He admitted the photo was inappropriate and confirmed there were no extraordinary events in the party.

Although he was involved in a number of scandals, there were not a few achievements achieved by Marin. Her name was recorded as one of the BBC’s ‘100 Women’ in 2020. In the same year, Forbes voted her one of the 100 Most Influential Women in the World. He became a Global Young Leader at the World Economic Forum. The German newspaper ‘Bild’ is also Sanna Marin as the ‘coolest politician in the world’.
