Changing Management: Demi Lovato’s Journey Beyond Scooter Braun

Date:

Demi Lovato has parted ways with Scooter Braun, her manager since 2019. The exact reasons for their separation are not clearly known. Despite no longer working together, they remain friends.

Recently, Scooter Braun extended birthday wishes to Demi Lovato on his Instagram Story, writing, “Happy birthday to one of the kindest people.”

Demi Lovato is currently in search of new management. This comes as she recently released a new album called “Revamped,” featuring her hit songs from the early days of her career transformed into rock versions. Prior to this, her album “Holy Fvck,” which had a strong rock influence, reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Demi described “Revamped” as a tribute to the songs her fans love the most, songs that played a significant role in her career. She said, “Creating this project has been so much fun and allowed me to express my passion for rock music in a new way… I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

Demi Lovato’s journey with Scooter Braun:

Before Scooter, Demi’s management team was led by Phil McIntyre of PhilyMack. She signed a contract with Scooter Braun and his SB Projects firm in 2019, exactly a year after her near-fatal overdose in July 2018.

During her challenging times with her health and mental well-being, Demi specifically sought out Scooter due to his excellent reputation in the entertainment industry. Although initially, Scooter had planned to decline Demi, his feelings changed after their first meeting with the 31-year-old singer. “She doesn’t need a manager; she needs a friend. She needs someone who knows what to do but doesn’t need her to work,” Scooter told The Rolling Stones.

Under Scooter Braun’s management team, Demi Lovato released two albums, “Holy Fvck” in 2022 and “Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over” in 2021, both with a pop vibe. Before the news of Demi Lovato leaving Scooter Braun, there were reports that his longtime client, Justin Bieber, was also considering a similar move. However, some sources claimed that these reports were inaccurate.
