Bruce Springsteen Postpones Concerts Due to Illness: Rescheduling Dates Announced

Date:

Bruce Springsteen had to postpone two concerts due to illness. Yesterday, it was announced on Bruce’s official Twitter / X account that his two shows in Philadelphia had been postponed as the music icon had fallen ill.

“Due to Bruce Springsteen‘s illness, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed,” the statement read.

“We are currently working on rescheduling the dates, so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled performances.” Details of his illness have not been made public.

The 73-year-old rocker recently headlined in Hyde Park, London, after embarking on his first major tour in six years earlier this year.

News of Bruce’s illness follows just a few months after he canceled several US shows in March due to health issues. A month later, he and his wife Patti Scialfa canceled plans to attend the American Music Honors event after both of them fell ill with COVID-19.

The singer of “Glory Days” is scheduled to perform at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, this month. The US tour will conclude on December 12 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
