Cristiano Ronaldo’s Marrakech Hotel Opens Doors to Earthquake Victims

Cristiano Ronaldo, the football star, has opened his hotel in Morocco to provide shelter for earthquake victims. A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco on Friday, September 8, 2023, resulting in the tragic loss of thousands of lives and many still missing.

The Pestana CR7 Marrakech Hotel is now offering refuge to those who have lost their homes. 

Irene Seixas, a Spanish citizen, stated, “We have managed to secure rooms at Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel, which is on the outskirts.” She was quoted in the Spanish daily newspaper, Marca.

“We are in the lobby with many people from different countries, waiting to see if we can get a room, but we have all been sleeping on the streets,” Seixas added.

This four-star hotel has set aside its standard entry regulations, providing admission to anyone in need of shelter. 

The death toll from the earthquake has risen to 2,012 people, with the number of injured now standing at 2,059, including 1,404 in critical condition.
