Tragic Story of Shani Louk: Victim of Hamas Attack

Shani Louk, a 30-year-old woman of German and Israeli nationality, tragically lost her life at the hands of Hamas during an attack on a music festival in Israel on Saturday, October 7, 2023. She worked as a tattoo artist in Tel Aviv and was attending the Nova music festival in Israel, which was held in a rural area near the Gaza-Israel border, approximately six kilometers east of Gaza.

Hamas detained Shani, suspecting her of being an Israeli soldier, and paraded her behind a pickup truck before her tragic death. This distressing and heart-wrenching incident was captured on video, showing militants taunting and spitting on Shani’s lifeless body.

Shani’s cousin, Tomasina Weintraub-Louk, confirmed her identity, recognizing her distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocked hair. Shani’s family was devastated by the news, as she had attended the music festival for peace, making this a nightmare for her loved ones.

Shani’s mother, Ricarda, pleaded for information and assistance after the video circulated on social media, revealing her daughter unconscious in a vehicle with Palestinian individuals driving around the Gaza Strip. She asked for help and any news regarding her daughter’s fate.
