Hwang Min-hyun, also known as a former member of the boy band NU’EST, will hold his first solo Asia tour this year. On June 26, Pledis Entertainment shared a notice on the singer’s official Weverse page announcing the dates and venues for his upcoming tour. Titled ‘Unveil’, Hwang Min-hyun’s tour will begin in Seoul in August before heading to Taipei, Bangkok, Macau, Jakarta, and Manila.
The tour includes a show at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on October 8, as indicated by the poster shared on WeVerse. The Seoul performances will take place over three days (August 4th to 6th) at the Grand Peace Hall, Kyunghee University, with tickets priced at KRW121,000. Pledis Entertainment also announced that fans attending all three concert days will be invited to a special hi-touch session with Hwang after the third show.
Hwang made his debut in 2012 as a member of the five-member boy group NU’EST, which held a solo concert in the Philippines in 2019. In 2017, Hwang joined the second season of the K-pop survival show “Produce 101”, where he ranked ninth and became part of the temporary boy group Wanna One. After Wanna One disbanded, Hwang continued his activities with NU’EST until the group’s disbandment in March 2022.
In February, Hwang made his solo debut with the mini-album ‘Truth or Lie.’ The record, featuring the title track ‘Hidden Side,’ marked his first music release since NU’EST’s disbandment in 2022. “I hope this current chapter can be a turning point to differentiate between the old and new me,” he said about the record in an interview with NME.
Outside of music, Hwang is also involved in hosting and acting. Notably, he starred in the popular fantasy-period drama “Alchemy of Souls.” Ticket sales for the Seoul concert will be held on July 10th from 8 PM to 11:59 PM KST through Ticketlink for fan club members, while general sales will begin on July 12th at 8 PM KST through the same vendor. Details regarding tickets and prices for international dates have not been announced. At the time of publication, it is unknown if additional stops will be added to the tour.
Furthermore, Hwang Min-hyun will also lead the upcoming K-drama “My Lovely Liar” alongside actress Kim So-hyun. The series is set to premiere on tvN on July 24th.
